In this role, you’ll work closely with a wide range of colleagues across Parliament and The National Archives, including archivists, digital archivists, information managers and records specialists. This provides a unique opportunity to build valuable relationships, develop expertise across multiple disciplines, and contribute to work of lasting national significance.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping how Parliament preserves and manages its information for future generations. Working within a collaborative and supportive environment, you’ll help establish and embed the tools, processes and best practices used to transfer records to The National Archives (TNA), as well as manage records that continue to be retained in Parliamentary custody.
You’ll have:

Understanding and experience of archives and/or information management standards and practices.

Outstanding communication skills, including the ability to explain specialist concepts to a range of audiences.

The ability to form strong relationships with people from a wide variety of backgrounds.

The skill to manage competing requirements and prioritise accordingly.
It would be even better if you have (or are willing to learn):

Project management: Experience of planning and managing small projects.

A recognised postgraduate qualification in Archives, Information Management, or a related discipline. We also value equivalent knowledge and expertise gained through practical experience working in the field.
